Need help preparing your taxes?
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation help to anyone. Services are aimed at those who are 50 and older and/or can’t afford a tax preparation service. There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services. AARP membership is not required.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide will be at West Florida Public Libraries from February through April 15 on various dates to help.

Tuesdays and Saturdays through April 15
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The last person is accepted at 1 p.m.
Items to bring:
- Photo I.D.
- Social Security cards or other official
documentation for everyone on the return
- Copy of last year’s tax return
- Tax forms and information for this tax year
- A schedule of deductions if numerous
receipts are involved
Tax Counseling for the Elderly offers free tax help for all taxpayers, particularly those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors. Find a location.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS to prepare tax returns. Find a location.
