Friends of the Library

Friends of West Florida Public Library

Founded in 1973, Friends of West Florida Public Library is a nonprofit, community membership organization supporting West Florida Public Libraries for more than 40 years.

Friends of West Florida Public Library is an active group of local citizens who strengthen Escambia County’s public library system through library advocacy, creative learning and literacy support.

Friends' Bookstores are available at:

  • Pensacola Library
  • Bellview Library
  • Molino Library
  • Tryon Library

The Friends of the West Florida Public Library host a quarterly book sale at the Pensacola Library. Visit the WFPL Events page for more information.

Friends of Southwest Branch Library

Founded in 1998 as a Florida Not For Profit Corporation, the Friends of the Southwest Branch Library Foundation, Inc. supports the mission of the Southwest Branch Library located at 12248 Gulf Beach Highway by donating funds, volunteer hours and materials to Southwest Branch Library. The Foundation supports a variety of programs including:

  • Young Adult Social Events
  • Adult Book Club
  • Make-n-Take crafts
  • Preschool Story Time
  • Summer Reading Club
  • Chair Yoga
  • Art Exhibits
  • Pet Partners Read to Dogs
