IRS tax forms and instructions may also be obtained online at IRS.gov or at any WFPL location.

Need help preparing your taxes?

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax filing assistance through its Tax Aide program at various sites in the Pensacola area. Services are aimed at those who are 50 and older and/or can’t afford a tax preparation service. There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services. AARP membership is not required.

Assistance is available from February 3 to April 14 on the indicated days.

  • Completed intake/interview sheet (form 13641-c) available at the library or tinyurl.com/2025AARPIntake
  • Photo I.D. for taxpayer(s), social security card or other official documentation for everyone on the return.
  • Tax forms and information for this tax year
  • Copy of last year’s tax return (preferred)
  • List of deductions if numerous receipts are involved

Tax Counseling for the Elderly offers free tax help for all taxpayers, particularly those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors. Find a location.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS to prepare tax returns. Find a location.
