WFPL Announces Improvements to Library Search Catalog

West Florida Public Libraries has launched a new and improved library search catalog, with new features aimed at enhancing the user experience for library patrons. 

The improved catalog is now available on the West Florida Public Libraries website on mobile and desktop. 

What’s new?

Several improvements to the catalog were implemented based on user feedback, with new features including:

  • Larger and easier to read graphics
  • A more interactive kids' catalog
  • Enhanced search tools to deliver faster and more accurate results
  • A more responsive and streamlined interface
  • Improved functionality on mobile devices (fewer clicks and taps!)
  • Mobile-friendly features that allow patrons to more easily request and renew materials   

Please note: These updates reflect a redesign of the catalog interface only, and the underlying library system will remain the same.

The previous catalog interface will remain available for approximately two weeks during the transition, allowing patrons to become familiar with the new catalog interface and features.
