West Florida Public Libraries participates in the Career Online High School (COHS) program. This program offers adults (19 and older) the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificate online.
The program offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified adult learners who are looking to advance their careers, prepare for workforce entry, and continue their education. Career Online High School through the West Florida Public Libraries is open to all eligible WFPL card holders.
Applicants who successfully complete an online self-assessment, a prerequisite course, and an in-person interview will be considered for enrollment.
The
core classes consist of the following subjects: English, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
In addition to earning a high school diploma, students will earn a career certificate in one of these high-demand fields:
Please Note: Currently there are no enrollment options available as all Florida Scholarships have been exhausted as of November 2022. Therefore, the program is on hold for new participants until additional funding can be secured.
