Free IRS tax forms are available at West Florida Public Libraries locations during tax season. Selection and availability may vary.

Anyone may also obtain forms and instructions online at IRS.gov.

 

Need help preparing your taxes?

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation help to anyone. Services are aimed at those who are 50 and older and/or can’t afford a tax preparation service. There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services. AARP membership is not required.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide will be at West Florida Public Libraries from February through April 15 on various dates provide tax preparation assistance.

Pensacola Library

Tuesdays and Saturdays Feb. 4 through April 18

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The last person is accepted at 1 p.m.

 

Southwest Branch Library

Mondays and Wednesdays Feb. 1 through April 18

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The last person is accepted at 1 p.m.

 

Items to bring:

  • Photo I.D.
  • Social Security cards or other official
    documentation for everyone on the return
  • Copy of last year’s tax return
  • Tax forms and information for this tax year
  • A schedule of deductions if numerous
    receipts are involved

 

Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) offers free tax help for all taxpayers, particularly those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors. Find a location.

 

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS to prepare tax returns. Find a location.

 

Free Tax Filing

MyFreeTaxes offers free state and federal tax filing, powered by H&R Block and supported by the IRS and United Way. Most people who earn less than $64,000 a year qualify for this free service.
