HeritageQuest (Home Access) (Library Access)

HeritageQuest Online combines digitized U.S. federal census records from 1790-1930 with many full-text family and local history book titles.  The collection dates back to the late 1700s and includes many primary source documents such as tax lists, city directories and probate records.  A great database for genealogical or historical research.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Official website for citizenship and immigration. Information on citizenship, green cards and tools for genealogy research. The USCIS website also provides the appropriate forms for citizenship and green cards.

Health and Wellness Resource Center

Including the respected Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, Health & Wellness Resource Center delivers up-to-date reference material as well as full-text pamphlets and magazine and journal articles from a wide variety of authoritative medical sources.  Additionally, consumers, students, and professionals are provided with descriptions of and links to many pertinent websites.  In partnership with Harvard Health, Health & Wellness Resource Center also provides the latest health news from Harvard Health Publications, a division of the Harvard Medical School.  Alternative health information is also provided.  This database is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment.

History: Civil War

Sources in U.S. History Online is a series of full text digitized resources intended for public library patrons as well as high school, community college, and university students.  Contains significant documents of the time–personal narratives, monographs, regimental histories, collected essays, sermons, songs, legal tracts, and political speeches.  Compiled and edited by Albany Law School professor Paul Finkelman.
