Children’s Storytime at the Library

Story Time Programs introduce young children, birth to 5 years old, to books, rhymes, music & other fun activities. Library Story Times incorporate the early literacy skills that children must master before they can learn to read. Story Time is just one of the many free services provided by West Florida Public Library. Check out the calendar to find a Story time at a library near you!

r.e.a.d.Reading Education Assistance Dogs

Reading is fundamental, but sometimes it can be a little scary when you first begin. That’s where R.E.A.D. comes to the rescue!

By signing your child up to read with a dog, you can improve your child’s reading skills and make a new friend. The therapy dogs and handlers are specially trained to ensure fun for everyone.  While a reservation is not required, it is recommended to ensure a timely spot for your child to read to a dog. Find the next scheduled READ to Dogs event on our calendar or contact the library for more information!
