Donate Books and Materials (New & Used)

The Friends of West Florida Public Libraries collects books all year long for their semi-annual book sales. These sales help fund the children’s summer reading program and other special events at WFPL. Contributions may also be used to purchase books, materials, equipment, and furniture for the Library.

Small donations (one bag or less) may be dropped off at any WFPL location.

Large donations (more than one bag) may be made as follows:

Please note: the process for making large donations has recently changed. (March 2016)

The Friends now accept large donations between 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. each Thursday (except holidays) at Uncle Bob’s Self Storage, located at 5060 North Palafox St., Pensacola, FL 32505 in the second storage building on Murphy Street. The doors will automatically open when you stand in front of them.   If you can carry the boxes yourself, please leave them on the red dollies you will see when you enter the building. If your boxes are too heavy for you to lift, go to the Friends’ storage unit on Row E (directions follow below) and the Friends will have someone help you carry them in. Directions to the Friends’ storage unit on row E:

  1. Go down the main hall
  2. Turn right and look for row E
  3. Go down row E and the Friends will be sorting in a unit on your left.
